The Philadelphia Eagles played host to the Green Bay Packers at Neo Quimica Arena in Sao Paulo, Brazil, on Friday night. Several players voiced their concerns about safety in the lead up to the game, but by kickoff, the biggest threat appeared to be the field.
Players on both sides slipped on most of the early drives, and it continued through the first half. Star running back Saquon Barkley, making his debut for the Eagles, suffered a major mishap on his first carry for Philadelphia and slipped for a five-yard loss.
He eventually caught his footing and scored two touchdowns for Philly – hauling in an 18-yard pass from Jalen Hurts for his first score since parting ways with the New York Giants.
