Questions are once again being raised over the future of Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag after his side put in a limp display in a disappointing 3-0 home defeat to Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday.
Ten Hag's position came under scrutiny at the end of last season as United finished a record low eighth place in the Premier League table.
Critics of the United boss felt his side lacked a clear philosophy that supporters could buy into despite some disappointing results. That theory was backed up in United's FA Cup final win over Man City in May, as it meant the Dutchman followed up his Carabao Cup success in his first season in charge with another trophy in his second campaign at the helm.
