Jamie Gittens is making a name for himself in the world of club football after departing the Manchester City academy. The English winger made a significant impact when he came on as a substitute to score two late goals for Borussia Dortmund in their 3-0 victory over Club Brugge in the Champions League on Wednesday (September 18).
His impressive performance earned him the man of the match award. Born in 2004, the 20-year-old joined the German giants four years ago after a two-year stint at Man City's academy.
His time in Manchester didn't last long as he decided to opt for a change in scenery in 2020 to join Borussia Dortmund, following in the footsteps of ex-Man City youth product Jadon Sancho who made the identical move three years prior.
