East Fife have announced they have banned two supporters following an incident of racial abuse during their clash with Albion Roveres last Saturday.

Rovers' striker Euan Mutale, who is on loan from Dundee, netted his first goal for the club to open the scoring at Bayview and was subjected to racial comments from two fans, who have now come forward and owned up to their behaviour during the game, which the Fifers won 2-1.

On Sunday, the East Fife announced they were conducting an investigation and they have now handed bans to the two supporters.

A club statement read: "As has been widely reported on social media, an allegation of racial abuse towards an Albion Rovers player was made during the game. "After our appeal for information from those present, two individuals contacted the club admitting making racial comments and consequently have been banned from attending any events at Bayview Stadium. "We thank Albion Rovers F.C.
