A beloved father-of-five who was killed on a ‘dream trip’ to Thailand died when an oncoming car ‘swerved into his path without warning’, an inquest has found.
Jay Ashley Bridgehouse, from Bridge Avenue in Woodley, died on March 18 in Koh Samui hospital in the southeast Asian country.
Weeks earlier, he had been riding a motorbike when the tragic incident occurred. Today (April 27), an inquest into how Mr Bridgehouse died confirmed the cause of death for the 32-year-old.
Senior Coroner Alison Mutch also told the court that Thai police had arrested and charged the driver of the car which collided with Jay’s motorbike with ‘reckless and dangerous driving’.
