Andre Onana should soon be a Manchester United player after a fee has been agreed with Inter, according to reports. United are looking to sign a new No.1 goalkeeper following the departure of David de Gea upon the expiration of his contract after 12 years at the club.
It didn't take long for Onana to become the club's top target. Erik ten Hag has preferred signing players he has worked with in the past since taking over at Old Trafford and only three players have played for him on more occasions than Onana.
The Cameroonian shone in Inter's run to the Champions League final and has been identified as the perfect goalkeeper for Ten Hag's system thanks to his excellent ability with the ball at his feet, as well as a great shot-stopping.
MEN Sport reported on Friday that United were inching closer to signing Onana and were confident of a breakthrough despite not having a fee agreed.
