United agreed a deal worth an initial €51million, plus a further €4million in add-ons, with Inter earlier this week and Onana underwent a medical at Carrington on Wednesday.

The goalkeeper jetted out to New York earlier on Thursday to link up with his new teammates for the club's pre-season tour of the United States and the deal has now been completed, subject to international clearance.

Onana will replace David de Gea as United's No. 1 after the Spaniard left the club on a free transfer last month. Erik ten Hag knows 27-year-old Onana well, with the Cameroon international playing 145 games for him at Ajax before his move to Inter, where he impressed in the Champions League final last month.
