Andre Onana move to Manchester United 'done' ahead of medical and more transfer rumours

Andre Onana should soon be a Manchester United player after a fee has been agreed with Inter, according to reports.

United are looking to sign a new No.1 goalkeeper following the departure of David de Gea upon the expiration of his contract after 12 years at the club. It didn't take long for Onana to become the club's top target.

Erik ten Hag has preferred signing players he has worked with in the past since taking over at Old Trafford and only three players have played for him on more occasions than Onana. The Cameroonian shone in Inter's run to the Champions League final and has been identified as the perfect goalkeeper for Ten Hag's system thanks to his excellent ability with the ball at his feet, as well as a great shot-stopping.

MEN Sport reported on Friday that United were inching closer to signing Onana and were confident of a breakthrough despite not having a fee agreed. However, reports from the Italian press suggest an accord has now been struck.

Sky Sports News Italia, via FC Inter News, claim ‘everything is now done’ for the deal and that Onana is set to bid farewell to his teammates at the training ground on Monday before travelling to Manchester. Calcio Mercato adds that the ‘figures have been found’ for the 27-year-old with United to pay £46m with bonuses included.

The report does add that the payment structure needs to be ironed out but that the final approval should arrive by Monday, with Onana to be offered a four-year contract with the option of a further 12 months.

Meanwhile, Flamengo are reportedly aiming to bring Alex Telles back to Brazil.

The left-back has been labelled as a must-sell, alongside Eric Bailly, this summer and neither returned to training
