Left-back Luke Shaw believes Andre Onana will keep Manchester United's defenders "on their toes" this season following his recent arrival from Inter Milan.
United, who are closing in on the signing of Atalanta striker Rasmus Hojlund, swooped for Onana after David de Gea's exit. The 27-year-old was immediately identified as manager Erik ten Hag's primary target to replace the Spaniard, having worked with him at Ajax.
Though De Gea racked up a very impressive 25 clean sheets in all competitions last season, mistakes crept into his game far too often towards the end of the campaign.
The former Atletico Madrid shot-stopper failed to master the art of being a goalkeeper that was comfortable in possession, resulting in United having doubts about keeping him.
