Alan Shearer has praised the work done by Erik ten Hag at Manchester United, saying the achievements of a League Cup win, an FA Cup final and their league position points towards a successful maiden season.

Shearer highlighted how Ten Hag should be hailed for where he has taken the club up to this point, declaring the manager has made "progress" since his arrival.
