Xavi Simons leads Rangers transfer applause as Fabio Silva move sparks reaction from La Liga to Man City

Fabio Silva has a plethora of football stars singing his praises and wishing him well after confirming his move to Rangers.

The 21-year-old has signed for Phillipe Clement's side after being left impressed by the Belgian's Ibrox plans. He joins on loan from Wolves until the end of the season, having previously spent time out on loan at Anderlecht and PSV, with his Molineux career yet to kick into gear. PSG's Xavi Simons was one star Silva linked up with in Holland and the man currently on loan at RB Leipzig is one of the first to send him a message.

Silva posted on Instagram "It is truly a pleasure for me to play for Rangers and I hope to celebrate many victories together." Simons - who himself was once linked with the Ibrox club - responded with "enjoy your game" alongside a host of other familiar football faces from around the world.

Man City's Matheus Nunes was a player he played with at Wolves. He posted a love heart emoji while Wolves' Brazilian international Matheus Cunha said "Good luck good one."

Others including PSV's Johan Bakayoko, Girona's Savio, Olympiacos' Daniel Podence, and Sporting Lisbon's Trincao have all posted messages to Silva.
