WWE Mount Rushmore: Seth Rollins names his & John Cena makes it

WWE Superstar Seth Rollins was a recent guest on The Pat McAfee Show and was asked to name his Mount Rushmore of wrestling.

With only four spaces to fill, there were many names to choose from, but Rollins did not hesitate.

Rollins revealed the four wrestlers that he believes have made the biggest impact when it comes to the money they have brought to the industry, and they were Hulk Hogan, The Rock, Stone Cold Steve Austin and John Cena.

He said: “In our business, which is the entertainment business, money-drawing is the biggest thing.

“So, if we’re talking there, you gotta start with Hogan. You gotta put Cena there, Rock and Austin. Top four.”

The Visionary’s selections are hard to argue with.

Hulk Hogan was the biggest star in the business in two different decades. His WWE run in the 80s led to him becoming a major mainstream star. In 1996, he turned heads whilst in WCW and was consequently able to revive his crumbling career to help the industry enter a new era.

The Rock and Stone Cold have often been dubbed as two of the best talkers in the business and are credited with being instrumental in WWE’s win over WCW in the Monday Night Wars.

John Cena is then widely regarded as one of the greatest in history and is tied with Ric Flair for the most world championship reigns in professional wrestling history. He has also brought a lot of money into the business through his civilian appearances, which have seen him donating money to various charities and helping those in need, helping to attract more audiences to the world of WWE.

Whilst they may not be his first choice for in-ring competitors, there is no arguing that the four wrestlers Rollins named have transformed the wrestling industry.
