Seth Rollins thought he broke every rib in his body in match with top WWE star

Seth Rollins says that he thought he broke every single one of his ribs during his match at WWE WrestleMania 36 with Kevin Owens.

They may be partners right now, but Kevin Owens and Seth Rollins have not always been fighting side-by-side.

Back at April 2020 at WrestleMania 36, Rollins and Owens shared the ring for one of the matches at WrestleMania 36.

The match featured a pretty memorable spot, with Owens jumping off the top of the WrestleMania sign, landing on Rollins, putting him through the announcer’s table.

The spot was incredibly memorable, and Rollins has now opened up about just how real it was during an interview with Pat McAfee’s.

Appearing for an in-person interview on McAfee’s podcast, Rollins spoke about how he thought he broke all of his ribs during the spot.

“The falling down hurt way worse. No question about it. Kevin Owens came off the WrestleMania sign, put his elbow right into the side of my ribs, I thought I broke every rib in my body. I was, yeah, I was done. Thankfully, that was the end of the match.”

The match took place right at the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, so no fans were in attendance, and Rollins have strangely revealed that this helped him:

“But, what did help me was knowing that no one was there, I have been accustomed to that for half my career at that point so I was able to figure out, talk it on the fly. Like I was just able to get into that mindset, I think a lot better than maybe some other people. And Kevin’s the same way, Kevin Owens came from the same place that I did.”
