Woman found dead after police called to street in Warrington

A woman was tragically found dead after police were called to a street in Warrington on Saturday (February 15). Police and paramedics attended the incident on Bexhill Avenue at around 7.50pm.

It had been reported that a woman had been found collapsed at an address. Despite the best efforts of paramedics, she was pronounced dead at the scene.

A number of police cars and ambulances were pictured at the scene near Poplars Avenue on Saturday night, with CID officers remaining near a block of flats overnight amid enquiries.

Her death is not currently believed to be suspicious, but investigations are ongoing, Cheshire Police confirmed. Her age was also not disclosed.

A Cheshire Police spokesperson said: "At 7.50pm on Saturday 15 February, police were notified that a woman had been found collapsed at an address on Bexhill Avenue, Warrington.

"Emergency services attended and sadly the woman was pronounced dead at the scene. Her next of kin have been informed.

"Although the death is not believed to be suspicious, enquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances."
