Willie Miller rips into Aberdeen FC as Barry Robson told board will be twitchy after 'embarrassing' St Mirren loss

Willie Miller has called Aberdeen's woe against St Mirren as an embarrassment - and reckons it heaps the pressure on Barry Robson's position as manager.

The Pittodrie icon doesn't think the board will want to make a change but a 3-0 loss to the Buddies brings fresh scrutiny. Aberdeen have many as four games in hand on teams above them but sit right now in ninth with five wins from 17.

Mark O'Hara, Jonah Ayunga and Greg Kiltie all netted to spark boos at full-time. Speaking on Sportsound, Miller tore into the team and sent a dire warning to Robson. He said: "I think there is hope Barry can turn it around and having these games in hand. But this is one of those games you are looking at for three points, not a 3-0 defeat. It is getting to the embarrassing. stage. This is when the fans start turning, directors start getting twitchy.

"They might not have been twitchy before this game but they have got to be now. They (the fans) their feelings be know, the ones who braved it to the end.

"Certainly putting the message they weren't happy with the performance and they have every right. Not only have they been beaten, they have lost three goals to nil, it could have been more embarrassing.

"We will need to see how it all pans out. Performances and results like this can only bring more pressure on the manager, more pressure eon thee board. I don't think the board want to make a change in manager but at the same time, things dictate that decision in football and results certainly dictate that decision.

"Looking at this one as one Barry would be looking to take the whole three points, not only did they not, it was an embarrassing performance. He will know that is not acceptable and the chairman will know as well."
