Why Philippe Clement's Rangers 'vibe' has REALLY changed as transfer revelation sparks 4 point Ibrox inquiry

Kenny Dalglish has detected a change in "vibe" from Philippe Clement amid Rangers' transfer deadlock and stadium chaos during pre-season.

A tough pre-season rumbled on for Rangers after defeat to Manchester United at Murrayfield as the Light Blues' continued their winless run before the start of the Scottish Premiership campaign and the crucial Champions League qualifiers, with Birmingham City next up on the fixture list. It follows a cut-price summer recruitment drive with the Belgian boss admitting the club must sell before they can add any new faces - with off-pitch issues also causing problems.

Rangers will play the early part of the season at Hampden Park following delays to construction work taking place at Ibrox. And former Celtic hero Dalglish reckons there has been a noticeable change from the "upbeat and positive" demeanour shown by Clement towards the end of the campaign - despite disappointment in the title race and Scottish Cup final.

He reckons that being unable to sign experienced new recruits and move on flops like Sam Lammers have irked the boss - as he branded the move to Mount Florida "definitely not helpful". However, he has urged the Ibrox board and fans to show patience with their manager when the campaign gets underway.

Writing for the Sunday Post, Dalglish said: "Philippe Clement has spoken recently of the current shape of his squad and what he would like to do to improve it in the coming weeks. However, he needs to sell before he can buy. That must leave him, and the Rangers supporters, very frustrated.

"Players need to be moved on at Rangers to free up funds and that's why the likes of Sam Lammers and Cyriel Dessers [are] available. But they are on lucrative salaries so will not be easy to
