Philippe Clement declares Rangers ready for Dynamo Kyiv as Oscar Cortes injury timeline revealed

Philippe Clement insists Rangers will do EVERYTHING to reach the Champions League - as he revealed the extent of Oscar Cortes' injury at Hearts.

The Ibrox boss confirmed the winger has not travel with his team-mates for the first leg of their third qualifying round tie with Dynamo Kyiv following his early withdrawal at Tynecastle in the Scottish Premiership opener. The attacker will spend up to five weeks on the sidelines after a scan in what the Belgian describes as a 'really unlucky fall' with a twisted knee.

Latest signing Robin Propper is fit and available but it remains to be seen whether he will be thrown in by the Belgian after he admitted the stopper has had a 'busy' few days away from the training pitch after his move to Scotland from Eredivisie outfit FC Twente. He told the media: "Oscar Cortes did not travel, he will be out for around 4-5 weeks after a scan. It was a really unlucky fall with a twisted knee, it is an unlucky injury from a collision.

"He will be an important player in the future for this club, it is a blow but this is part of football for every club. We need to focus on a fast rehab, the quality in our rehab is better than last season so we know he will come back even better. Robin Propper is fit, but he has had a busy few days off the pitch he has had to sort since arriving in Scotland with his family."

Rangers know the route they now face in order to book a spot at Europe's top table. Rivals Celtic are already in the newly revamped Champions League competition and Clement and his troops are desperate to join the party.
