Why is Gary Neville on the new Dragon's Den series on BBC One?
He may be better known for playing for one of the biggest football clubs. But Manchester United legend and football pundit Gary Neville is definitely no stranger to the world of business.
His portfolio includes owning a chain of hotels and townhouses after he got into property management when he was in his 20s. And Neville's most famous investment is possibly considered to be in 2014, when it was announced that he, along with fellow Manchester United players Ryan Giggs, Paul Scholes, Nicky Butt and Phil Neville, had agreed to a deal to purchase Salford City ahead of the 2014–15 season.
He also founded his own investment company 'Relentless.' The company specialises in investment ventures in the Manchester area.

He writes on his website "'Relentless' is my favourite word and sums up my approach to life, business, everything really," adding that these vision and values "are embedded within the fabric of everything that we do".
With all this in mind, it is probably becoming clear that Neville will not be making an appearance on BBC One's Dragon's Den to pitch his latest business idea. He will be the one deciding whether other people's businesses are worthy of investment.
He announced last year he will be appearing as one of the 'dragons' in the next series of Dragon's Den. Series 21 of the popular series sees Neville and Emma Grede join Peter Jones, Deborah Meaden, Touker Suleyman, Sara Davies, and Steven Bartlett as the first ever 'guest dragon.'
