Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag addressed the media on Thursday afternoon, looking ahead to Monday night's FA Cup clash with Wigan Athletic.

United face the League One side at the DW Stadium in the final tie of the round, by which point they will already know their prospective fourth round opponents. United will be determined to win the tie and advance to the next round, with the FA Cup representing their last remaining chance of a trophy this season.

Ten Hag, meanwhile, used his press conference as an opportunity to reflect fondly on recent talks with Sir Jim Ratcliffe, confirming that discussions had been "very positive". Ratcliffe flew into Manchester earlier this week to meet United staff and introduce himself after his investment was confirmed on Christmas Eve.

Elsewhere, Ten Hag issued an update on the situation concerning Andre Onana's availability ahead of the Africa Cup of Nations starting later this month.

Andre Onana will be available for United's FA Cup clash with Wigan Athletic on Monday.

Onana was named in the Cameroon squad for the Africa Cup of Nations and their first game in the competition is against Guinea on January 15 - 24 hours after United host Tottenham Hotspur at Old Trafford. Ten Hag is not sure if the goalkeeper will be available for the clash with the Londoners.
