Who Manchester United and Man City can face in Champions League as group stage pots confirmed

The Champions League group-stage draw is less than 24 hours away and the full line up of teams has now been confirmed.

The final six sides booked their spots this week after progressing through the final qualifying rounds. It means the seeding pots have been finalised ahead of the draw.

Defending champions Manchester City will be in pot one, while United - returning to the competition after a 12 month absence - are among the second seeds. The two cannot face each other with clubs from the same country unable to be drawn into the same group. It means both Manchester clubs will also avoid Arsenal and Newcastle United.

Scottish club Celtic are potential opponents but Rangers fell at the final hurdle, losing 7-3 on aggregate to PSV Eindhoven. And United could come up against FC Copenhagen, who booked their spot on Wednesday night. As well as being United's new signing Rasmus Hojlund's old club, the Danish side boasts the forward's twin brothers in their squad. Emil and Oscar Hojlund, 18, are highly regarded with Emil appearing on the bench for the Danish side this season while Oscar featured in the second qualifying round victory over Icelandic side Breidablik Kopavogur.

City, as Premier League winners and Champions League holders, are in pot one where they are joined by Spanish giants Barcelona and Europa League holders Sevilla. Napoli, Bayern Munich, PSG, Benfica and Feyenoord complete the grouping. All aside from City are potential opponents for United.

The Reds are in the second pot alongside Premier League rivals Arsenal. Spanish pair Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid, Porto, RB Leipzig, Borussia Dortmund and Inter Milan are also in the cluster. City could face any of the
