When Christian Eriksen will make a decision on his future amid Leicester City ‘offer’

Brentford manager Thomas Frank has said that Christian Eriksen will make a decision over his future within two weeks, amid Leicester City reportedly making an offer.

City are one of a number of clubs said to have ‘made contact’ with the midfielder this summer over a potential free transfer. Eriksen is out of contract with Brentford after signing a six-month deal back in January.

The player has caught the eye with his performances in his short time at the Brentford Community Stadium where he scored once and provided four assists in 11 appearances. Tottenham, Manchester United, Everton, Newcastle, West Ham, Ajax and an unnamed Spanish club are all said to have made offers to the player, along with City. It is, however, suggested that Spurs have taken a step back in their interest.

Perhaps not surprisingly, Brentford are also keen to keep hold of the player this summer, making an offer of their own. Speaking to Spanish outlet AS, Bees’ boss Thomas Frank gave the latest on when clubs can expect a decision from the player.

“I coached Eriksen in the youth ranks in Denmark. In October, my son called me: ‘Dad, why don’t you contact Christian? He has to play football again.’ I called Eriksen in December and asked him if he would consider playing football again at Brentford and he replied: ‘Funny thing is I thought of you too’,” he said, as reported by Sport Witness .

“I never had any doubts that he would come back to a good level and now I hope we can retain him. I do not know [If he will stay at Brentford]. I know we still have a chance and I hope he will make a decision in two weeks.”
