Manchester United 'shortlist' Leicester City star as Christian Eriksen considers free transfer

Leicester City midfielder Youri Tielemans is reportedly 'of interest' to Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag amid negotiations with Barcelona over signing Frenkie de Jong.

Man United have been relentlessly rumoured with adding to their options in midfield this summer, but are yet to make a signing since Ten Hag started work at Old Trafford. De Jong, who worked with the former Ajax manager before leaving for Catalonia, and Brentford free-agent-to-be Christian Eriksen are both apparently the subject of offers from Man Utd.

City have similarly been linked with Eriksen and the Denmark international is apparently "mulling over" a contract offer from the King Power Stadium side. Following those reports, another name that has been said to be on Ten Hag's 'shortlist' has emerged.

Caglar Soyuncu and Dennis Praet are tangled in the same web of transfers as clubs around Europe push ahead with their business this summer.

The Leicester City pair are being courted by Italian sides Inter Milan and Torino respectively, and their paths appear to be crossing as negotiations take place between several of the continent’s heavyweight clubs. As things stand Praet, who has fallen out of favour at City, and Soyuncu, who only has a year left on his deal, are more likely to leave than stay.

Praet’s future appears to be a more simple affair, with his loan club Torino keen to take him back. That is not a surprise, with the Belgian midfielder a crucial cog for them last season.
