Former Faversham Town boss Tommy Warrilow says he’s looking to get back into management

Title-winning former Faversham Town manager Tommy Warrilow is keen to get back in the dugout.

Warrilow led the Lilywhites to the Southern Counties East Premier Division championship in 2025.

They hit the summit of Isthmian South East after promotion, enjoying the longest unbeaten start in the division, and were just outside the play-offs when he was unexpectedly sacked with four games of the season remaining.

“Football’s been my life,” said Warrilow. “I’m looking to get back in, not out of desperation, but out of passion for the game. I miss it. It’s in me.”

Warrilow, 62, has enjoyed a long and successful career in management.

He took Tonbridge into Conference South via the Isthmian Premier play-offs, reached two Isthmian South East play-off finals with Ashford and was parachuted in to save Cray Wanderers from relegation.

A first league title followed at Faversham and the former defender still has plenty to offer, whatever the level.

“I’ve never been a football snob,” he said. “You always listen to people. I just want to get back into it.

“I didn’t want to come out in the first place. If someone had rung me the next day, after I’d left Faversham, I’d have gone straight back in.

“When I’ve left clubs before, it’s been my decision from a personal point of view, and the right decision, but now if anyone wants to talk, I’ll talk.

“We’d all love to be associated with clubs that are flying but nine times out of 10 you get a call from people who are in trouble and that’s why you get the call.

“I got so much fulfilment out of going in at Cray Wanderers and we managed to stay up from however many points adrift we were at the time.

“That was one of my biggest achievements and I thoroughly enjoyed that because we turned it around,
