Christian Eriksen to decide his future as Man U and Brentford wait

Brentford's Christian Eriksen will reportedly make a decision on his future in the next 'hours or days'.

The midfielder had an excellent return to the game last season after suffering a cardiac arrest during Euro 2020.

He played 11 games for the Bees after signing in January and helped them recover from a mid-sesaon wobble with a goal and four assists.

According to journalist Fabrizio Romano, there are 'many proposals' on the table for the Danish star, who will make a decision in the next 'hours or days' after speaking with his agent.

He also said that Eriksen's former club Tottenham, for whom played over 300 games, have decided to focus on 'other targets', while Brentford 'still hope' to hang on to the 30-year-old.

According to reports from Sky Sports, both United and Brentford have offered Eriksen six-month-contracts, with the move to Old Trafford thought to be 'more financially lucrative'.

Eriksen is one of many players currently linked with Manchester United as Erik ten Hag looks to rebuild his squad.

He would be a key summer signing for a club that is yet to record a summer signing after missing out on Darwin Nunes to Liverpool, and seemingly being snubbed by Jurrien Timber.

Hanging on to Eriksen would also be a big statement for Brentford, as they look to navigate a tricky second season in the Premier League.
