What time will you be able to see the Red Arrows over Greater Manchester on Sunday?

This weekend will see the return of the Red Arrows to the Blackpool seafront for two days of spectacular aerial displays.

On Saturday and Sunday, crowds will be able to see some of the world's finest military and civilian aircraft performing over the iconic seafront as party of the Blackpool Air Show.

One of the longest running air shows in the world, The Blackpool Air Show dates back to 1909, when it was first held at Blackpool Airport showcasing some of the first planes ever built.

The programme will showcase the very best in British aviation with an incredible line-up of amazing flying machines and some of the country’s most talented pilots. Highlights will include the RAF Typhoon, Spitfire XIX & Mustang P51D, and of course, the famous Red Arrows.

The Royal Air Force Aerobatic Team will be taking part in two displays at the event over the weekend. On Sunday the team will perform again in the Blackpool Airshow and may be seen flying over Greater Manchester before the display.

According to www.military-airshows.co.uk. they are expected to fly over Standish and northern parts of Wigan and then on to Blackrod and Horwich in Bolton at 4:54pm, before heading north towards Blackburn and then to Blackpool Airshow for 5pm.

After the show, the Red Arrows will fly back to Blackpool Airport where they will land before taking off again for Edinburgh at 5:42pm.

It's important to note that the timings and route could be subject to change depending on whether conditions on the day. Below is the current Red Arrows flight plan on Sunday.
