What Hull City supporters can expect as Acun Ilicali prepares to lay out next season's blueprint

Hull City owner Acun Ilicali will this week address the club's supporters for the first time since an inaugural press conference to outline his vision for the Tigers after completing his takeover from the Allam family in January.

The Turkish businessman along with vice-chairman Tan Kesler will host a press conference at the MKM Stadium on Thursday afternoon with assembled members of the media to reveal the next phase of his ownership after Championship safety was confirmed and the club can continue plans for next season.

Ilicali is expected to address the ticketing situation at the MKM Stadium and also the layout of supporters within the lower bowl as he looks to dramatically increase attendances next season. The Tigers averaged 12,888 this season but did achieve their highest league crowd for five years on the final day when 18,399 spectators watched the thrilling conclusion to the 1-1 draw with Nottingham Forest.

Games against Barnsley, Luton Town and Cardiff City saw the club offer ticket incentives with almost 16,500 watching the defeat to Barnsley, while that gate was beaten for the visit of the Hatters. Crowds since the January takeover have been up around 20 percent on pre-takeover, but the new Tigers owner is determined to see those rise further next season and hopes to encourage more supporters in through the turnstiles.

It's also expected the owner will give some detail on the club's transfer plans this summer, and how they intend to recruit during the transfer window to turn Shota Arveladze's squad into one capable of challenging at the opposite end of the Championship.
