'We're turning into a circus' - Manchester United fans react to latest Cristiano Ronaldo news

Manchester United fans have been reacting to the news that Cristiano Ronaldo has not returned to training at Carrington.

United players who were called up for international duty last month were expected to attend their first training session under Erik ten Hag on Monday. However, MEN Sport revealed that the Portuguese ace will not be returning to training as scheduled due to 'family reasons'.

A senior club source said: " Cristiano is not expected due to family reasons and the club has accepted this explanation." His delayed return to Carrington comes just a couple of days after reports emerged about his uncertain future at the club.

Reports over the weekend suggested Ronaldo had asked United to accept any 'reasonable' offer for him, should they receive it. However, United remain committed to keeping the 37-year-old at Old Trafford.

His future is claimed to be in the balance due to United's failure to qualify for the Champions League. United fans have been sharing their reactions to the latest Ronaldo developments on Twitter.
