Vaclav Cerny 'on verge' of Rangers transfer as Wolfsburg green light loan move for winger

Winger Vaclav Cerny is on the verge of a loan move to Rangers, according to a report.

Speculation over the Czech international has grown arms and legs since it emerged on Tuesday night that he'd followed Philippe Clement's team on Instagram. On Thursday, it was reported that there was firm interest from Ibrox in bringing in the wide man, who signed for Wolfsburg from Twente for around £6m a year ago.

He previously teamed up with Gers striker Danilo and Twente and the two formed a formidable partnership for six months. And now, Sky Sports Germany report they are set to reunite. It's claimed the 26-year-old is 'on the verge' of a move and will soon 'receive the green light' to head to Scotland on loan. He's expected to sign up for the 2024/25 season as Clement's latest summer addition and will boost the wide options available to the Belgian.
