The 2 Vaclav Cerny Rangers moments of brilliance that have Neil McCann waxing lyrical

Neil McCann has picked out two moments of brilliance from Vaclav Cerny that left the pundit waxing lyrical.

Philippe Clement put in his Rangers summer recruit at Hampden for his first start after previous appearances from the bench against Hearts last weekend in the Scottish Premiership opener, and then in the Champions League draw with Dynamo Kyiv. He produced the big moment in Poland as his cross was fired home by Cyriel Dessers in the 94th minute to take a 1-1 draw back to Scotland. He stepped up once again against Motherwell with his first half strike proving the winner in Glasgow's south side.

The 'quite brilliant' goal was one of two key moments pundit McCann picked out and it has him believing that Cerny will be a real handful for defenders across the country. Light Blues boss Clement won't guarantee that he will start the midweek return with Kyiv at Hampden as he continues to build his way up towards full fitness. But McCann is a big fan of the new man.

Speaking on BBC Sportscene, he explained: "I like him. He's shown today that I think he is going to be a real handful for defences across the country. Really sharp and has good feet.

"Look how well Motherwell are set up here. There is not a lot of space, Scott Wright tells him where he wants it and that is eye of the needle stuff. The execution of that pass is quite simply brilliant.

"He is a player who is all left-footed and very direct. He's not an out and out winger where he wants to go on the outside. He is going to be deployed from this right side and has an eye for a pass.

"He is helped a lot for his goal I have to say. Dan Casey, where are you going? Speaking about Motherwell being all over the place defensively. But take nothing away from the first touch.
