Adam Idah 'agrees' Celtic transfer as Norwich City green light exit with £9.5m package

Adam Idah on the brink of becoming a Celtic player once again after the Hoops reportedly agreed a deal with Norwich City.

The transfer saga has been running throughout the summer after Ireland international Idah impressed on loan at Parkhead in the second half of last season and a run of nine goals in 19 games - including the winner in the Scottish Cup final. Idah made it clear he wanted the move to Glasgow's east end but Norwich stood firm while new boss Johannes Hoff Thorup evaluated the striker.

The 23-year-old was named on the bench for Norwich's first game of the new season against Oxford United - but now looks set to seal a move to Celtic Park. Brendan Rodgers has made no secret of his interest in the frontman - and following an injury scare around Kyogo the BBC report that a deal has agreed with Norwich. A move will be complete following a medical.

Sky Sports report that the deal is worth up to £9.5m. The initial fee will be £8.5m, with £1m worth of add-ons. Norwich are also said to have inserted a 15 per cent sell-on clause into the deal.
