Vaclav Cerny in line for Rangers debut as Clement hint shines light on Berlin plans - lineup predicted for Union clash

It's likely to be as strong a Rangers team as Philippe Clement can field in his final tune-up before the real stuff gets started.

The Belgian has his team in Berlin to take on Union as they draw a line under a difficult pre-season and look to get some momentum building. A dreary 2-1 defeat to Birmingham was pretty grim and he'll want to see a big improvement, challenging his stars to earn a place in the XI when they kick off against Hearts at Tynecastle a week today.

With that in mind he's likely to go with what he feels is his best possible team - and that could mean Vaclav Cerny is thrown straight in for a starting debut on the right. Clement said some players had been purposely left out of the trip to Birmingham with a view to starting here and that indicates Oscar Cortes, Tom Lawrence and John Souttar are among those likely to return.
