'Tottenham have got no choice...' - Journo reveals what Daniel Levy must now do

It’s been a whirlwind few weeks for Tottenham Hotspur fans, seeing the side register a historic victory at the Etihad before faltering and losing to relegation candidates Burnley.

After the defeat to Burnley, Antonio Conte’s post match interview was one of real interest, basically saying his position as manager has to be reconsidered by himself and/or the club. No doubt in part after being left annoyed by the club’s January transfer window failings.

Transfer insider Dean Jones has touched on that, highlighting the importance of listening to the manager and appeasing him in the next transfer window, something that will be vital should Conte remain at the club.

Jones had the following to say to This is Futbol: “So Tottenham have got no choice really, but to listen to Conte’s views on transfers. And to, you know, have that in their thinking when they’re going out making approaches.”

TIF thoughts on Conte…

After seeing the impact Luis Diaz has had on the Premier League already, it’s clear to see the frustrations Conte will have to miss out on him, letting Liverpool snatch him from under their noses.

Spurs are still aiming for a top four spot this season. Should they achieve this then the summer transfer window will be huge as they look to bridge the gap to the likes of Manchester City and Liverpool.

Spurs have employed Jose Mourinho and Nuno Espirito Santo before Antonio Conte all within a few years, so stability is needed as the club look to get back to being a serious top challenger in the country and Europe.
