Mauricio Pochettino is open to the idea of a second spell in charge of Tottenham Hotspur if he leaves Paris Saint-Germain and the position becomes vacant, it is claimed.

Pochettino was in charge of Tottenham between 2014 and 2019. The pinnacle of his time in charge was reaching the Champions League final in his last full season. Overall, he made Spurs steady contenders in the top four – something that cannot be said of them since.

Tottenham finished sixth and then seventh in the seasons after Pochettino’s exit. They look on course to miss out on a top-four finish again this year.

Rumours have persisted of discontent with the club’s transfer dealings. In public, though, Conte insists he is happy at Tottenham, who have him under contract for another season.

But reports recently surfaced claiming that he has a clause that would allow him to walk away this summer. What’s more, becoming the next PSG boss may be appealing to him.

Coincidentally, that role is currently held by Pochettino himself.
