Tom Eaves in: Is this Hull City’s best XI on paper when every player is fully fit?

Hull City have experienced a mixed run of results in the Championship since opting to appoint Shota Arveladze as their new head coach in January.

Whilst the Tigers were very impressive during their 3-0 victory over Peterborough United last month, their progress at this level has been hindered by defeats to the likes of West Bromwich Albion, Barnsley and Fulham.

Currently 20th in the second-tier standings, Hull will be hoping to get back to winning ways this weekend when they face Birmingham City.

Ahead of the club’s trip to St Andrew’s, we have decided to take a look at Hull’s best XI when they have a full quota of players available to them.

Do you agree?

When you consider that Arveladze has decided to use the 3-4-2-1 formation in Hull’s recent fixtures, we have decided to incorporate the club’s players in this system.

Nathan Baxter gets the nod over Matt Ingram to start in the goalkeeping position as he has produced some assured performances for the Tigers during his loan spell with the club.

In the 12 games that he has played in the Championship this season, Baxter has claimed a respectable total of six clean-sheets.

Currently averaging the second highest WhoScored match rating at Hull (7.22), Baxter will be aiming to reclaim a place in the side when he is fit enough to feature again.

Jacob Greaves partners Sean McLoughlin and Di’Shon Bernard in central defence whilst Brandon Fleming and Lewie Coyle are likely to operate in the wing-back positions.

Greg Docherty features in central midfield alongside Richard Smallwood who has made 32 appearances in the second-tier during the current campaign.

George Honeyman will feature on the right for Hull whilst Keane Lewis-Potter is set to occupy the left-hand side of the pitch.
