This Morning's Craig Doyle says 'people need to realise' as he comments on Holly Willoughby

Craig Doyle has said 'people need to realise' as he made rare comments about This Morning co-star Holly Willoughby. The pair have been seen at the helm of the ITV daytime show together this week after Holly returned from her lengthy summer break.

Craig has been a firm hit with viewers of the programme since he made his presenting debut on the programme last year. However, it wasn't actually the TV and radio presenter's first-ever appearance on the programme.

He had popped up from time to time in the past, such as hosting ITV's competition segment from around Ireland but actually made his This Morning hosting debut in May 2022 alongside Alison Hammond. It was only earlier this year that he had hosted the show alongside Holly Willoughby following the sudden exit of her former co-host and friend Phillip Schofield.

And earlier this week, Craig was among the This Morning stars to represent the show at the National Television Awards with Holly, Alison, Dermot O'Leary and Rochelle Humes also among those there for the star-studded night.

But it wasn't the best night for This Morning 'family' as they lost its best daytime show title. The show had been on a winning streak having taken home the gong every year since 2011 but that came to an end as The Repair Shop claimed the prestigious prize with host Jay Blades making the acceptance speech.

Speaking after appearing at the NTAs, and being on This Morning the next morning, Craig was asked by fellow presenter Kate Thornton how it was going 'fitting in' with 'one of Britain's most familiar families'. He replied on Kate's White Wine Question Time podcast: "I'm really enjoying it.
