The Rangers family unites against division as diehards on Hotline warpath to warn Celtic things are changing

Scottish football is forged on an ebb and flow, a back and forth between rivals.

Celtic and Rangers diehards sum that up with both claiming moral victories, however, the mood music at Ibrox has been solemn this summer. A temporary switch to Hampden, a lack of transfer arrivals and facing up to Brendan Rodgers' side powering to a 13th title in 14 seasons has been tough to stomach.

But any gripes have now been banished with a host of callers binning the blues as they rediscover their confidence about the team they adore and they spot issues at Celtic which they reckon can be exploited. With European qualifiers looming, a Rangers fan is bullish about his team and issued a call to arms to the rest of the league, Scott Gowers, Edinburgh, said: "As Scottish clubs prepare for Europe I'd like to wish them all the best as a better Scottish coefficient earns a higher placing and means more teams representing Scotland in Europe. With Rangers coefficient currently at 52,000 (currently 28th in Europe) and Celtic dropping to 22,000, it's important for all Scottish clubs involved to boost the coefficient as Rangers can't do it on their own.

"I understand that long European adventures are a big disadvantage in our gruelling league campaign (more chance of burnout and injury) but as a Rangers supporter I love those exciting European evenings whilst other fans are watching the soaps or tuning in to see Rangers wishing their clubs had that experience."

The Hotline operates under the rule of 'my dad's bigger than yours' when it comes to transfers and the fees of players was high on the agenda. James Brown, Glasgow, said: The Hotliner Chris Lowe from Yoker is always greetin whenever a possible selling price is put on a Celtic player.
