Propper problem, Yilmaz dilemma and £6m transfer wildcard - How revamped Rangers will line up against Hearts

It has been a busy summer at Ibrox - but it's finally the big day for Rangers as they look to get their Scottish Premiership title bid off to a positive start against Hearts.

Philippe Clement gaves Celtic a scare last season before Brendan Rodgers' side ran out title winners - and the Belgian will look to go one step further today by claiming the crown this term. Along with director of football recruitment Nils Koppen, Clement has a had a busy summer as he revamps the squad. Gone are the experienced heads of Connor Goldson, John Lundstram, Borna Barisic, Ryan Jack and Kemar Roofe.

In comes the likes Clinton Nsiala and Jefte as well as Hamza Igamane - to slash the average age of the Rangers squad going into the new campaign. Brazilian left-back Jefte has been a regular starter in pre-season - and could get the nod ahead of Ridvan Yilmaz in Gorgie.

Connor Barron joined from Aberdeen and impressed in pre-season Ibrox and will liked partner Mohamed Diomande in the midfield engine room. Vaclav Cerny has come in from Wolfsburg on loan but admitted when speaking to the media before the game he may not be fit to start the season - while Clement revealed Robin Propper could be out of the clash in Edinburgh with the final paper work on his FC Twente deal still to be completed.

Up front, Cyriel Dessers looks set to start the season as Rangers' first-choice striker. However, he could roll the dice and give £6m man Danilo the nod. An injury-hampered campaign derailed his first season in Govan - and fans will be desperate to see him kick on this season.

Dujon Sterling will miss out through injury. Transfer rebel Todd Cantwell has been dropped to the B team after submitting an exit request.
