Celtic transfer news bulletin as Reo Hatate silence broken by Leicester boss amid Gustaf Lagerbielke exit strategy

Leicester City boss Steve Copper has remained coy on his next transfer move amid reports of interest in Celtic star Reo Hatate.

The Foxes are back in the Premier League after winning the Championship title last season, with Cooper keen to add to his squad after taking over from Enzo Maresca this summer. Abdul Fatawa, Bobby Decordova-Reid, Michael Golding and Caleb Okoli are already in the door - but reports south of the border claim that City are eyeing a move for Hatate.

But amid rising speculation that a "big money offer" could be on the way to test the resolve of the Scottish Premiership champions to keep the 26-year-old, Cooper refused to be nailed down on any specific names. He told Leicester Live: “It’s not as clear as saying we need this position, that position. We need certain profiles and certain additions of attributes we need to bring into the squad.”

As well as Hatate, Kyogo Furuhashi has been linked with the Parkhead exit door. Urawa Red Diamonds are said to hold an interest in the striker and are considering a bid to tempt him back to the J-League.

Going into the first weekend of the new Premiership season, has changed agents. The Celtic star had previously been represented by ‘MORE THAN SPORT GMBH’ but has shifted to CAA Base amid swirls about his future.

One man who looks destined to leave this summer is Gustaf Lagerbielke. Brendan Rodgers has stated the club are open to allowing the centre-back to depart after a disappointing first season in Glasgow's east end.

Hellas Verona and Parma are said to be weighing up offers - with Tuttomercatoweb claiming that Lecce are now considering reviving their interest in the Celtic misfit after the collapse of a move for the Swede in January.
