Norwich warn Celtic they are not bluffing about Adam Idah as 'boo boy' served up hugs and flak

Adam Idah received a frosty reception on his return to action for Norwich City on Saturday - as links over a return to Celtic on a permanent basis continue to swirl.

The Republic of Ireland international - who was disciplined by Canaries boss Johannes Hoff Thorup for failing to turn up on time for a flight to Austria for a pre season camp - appeared as a second half substitute as Norwich fell to a 3-1 defeat to St Pauli at Carrow Road. According to local outlet The Pink Un, small sections of the home crows greeted the 23-year-old with a chorus of boos as he entered the field of play.

Brendan Rodgers is desperate to bring the forward back to Glasgow, after Idah hit nine goals in 19 matches last season in an impressive loan spell. However despite admitting that the player stepped out of line for his breach of discipline, Norwich gaffer Hoff Thorup has now revealed that he is planning to utilise Idah this season.

Speaking after the friendly defeat, he said: "He is part of my plans. It was important for him to come back in. We had a lot of conversations in Austria. As I said out there, younger players sometimes stray the wrong side of the line."
