The Instigators cast list: Who stars alongside Matt Damon and Casey Affleck in new Apple TV+ film?

A star-studded comedy heist film is set to hit Apple TV+. The Instigators, directed by Doug Liman, features Oscar winners Matt Damon and Casey Affleck as Rory and Cobby respectively, two characters who attempt but fail to rob a corrupt politician.

The film, penned by Chuck MacLean and Affleck, boasts a strong supporting cast including Hong Chau, Michael Stuhlbarg, Alfred Molina, Ron Pearlman, and Ving Rhames.

The Instigators will premiere worldwide on Apple TV+ on August 9, 2024. As with other new releases on the platform, it will be available from 12am Eastern Time, translating to a 5am release in the UK.

Matt Damon portrays the character of Rory, a reluctant thief trying to provide for his family. Damon is arguably the most recognisable face in the cast, having starred in films such as Good Will Hunting, The Bourne Identity, The Talented Mr Ripley, The Martian and Oppenheimer.
