Street taped off and homes evacuated after suspected grenade found - latest updates
Emergency services have taped off part of a Stockport street after a suspected grenade was found.
A bomb disposal unit is on its way to Gorton Road, in Reddish, this afternoon (July 26).
Images from the scene show an area taped off by Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service.
Firefighters can be seen in attendance in the area, alongside officers from Greater Manchester Police.

The Manchester Evening News understands an unexploded device has been discovered in the area.
Exact details of the nature of the incident are yet to be confirmed.

A number of homes have been evacuated surrounding the scene.
The device is understood to be historic.
Greater Manchester Police has confirmed a suspected grenade was found in the area.
