Coventry City fans continue to wait for news on more transfer activity this summer with degrees of patience and anxiety seemingly in equal measure.

The Sky Blues have plenty of summer transfer targets as Mark Robins looks to strengthen the team in quality and numbers for a congested campaign ahead. Business has been slow going so far, with just one new face to date with the arrival of Kasey Palmer from Bristol City joining for an undisclosed fee.

The 25-year-old playmaker is a potentially exciting addition to City’s attack but there are still plenty of holes to be filled elsewhere, with a left wing-back and left-sided centre-half among the priorities for the manager following the departures of Ian Maatsen and Jake Clarke-Salter – the latter of whom the club just missed out on bringing in on a permanent deal due to losing out to QPR.

The former Chelsea development defender is not the only one the club have missed out on this month in what has been a frustrating start to the transfer window. Manchester City’s highly-rated CJ Egan-Riley had been lined up to join the Sky Blues but the right-sided centre-back has opted to join another club instead.
