Southern Counties East League Premier Division round-up as Nathan Jeche gets injury-time goal in 1-0 Whitstable Town win at Phoenix Sports; Larkfield & New Hythe, Rusthall, Bearsted, Punjab United and Hollands & Blair also triumph

A stoppage-time goal from Nathan Jeche helped second-placed Southern Counties East League Premier Division side Whitstable to victory at Phoenix Sports on Saturday.

Jeche, 20, came off the substitutes’ bench to get the game’s only goal - his first this season after a long-term injury lay-off - in the 91st minute.

That came after substitute Lyle Della-Verde was red-carded for Phoenix with six minutes to go.

Whitstable sit one point behind leaders Larkfield & New Hythe, but have two matches in hand, with Larkfield having secured a 3-0 home success over Sutton Athletic.

Tunde Aderonmu broke the deadlock for the hosts in the 18th minute before James Bayford was red-carded for Sutton.

Two-goal Tyler Ibe then netted once in either half.

Rusthall edged their five-goal game at Hythe.

Darren Beale’s Cannons raced into a 2-0 advantage through goals from striker Steadman Callender and teenager Kai Garrett, who has joined on a 28-day loan from Isthmian Premier Ramsgate, boss Beale’s old club, before the visitors rallied.

Jack Kirby pulled one back with 63 minutes played and, two minutes later, Yassin Fares converted a penalty.

Hythe then had Hugo Taylor red-carded before Kirby’s second ensured it ended 3-2 to Rusthall at Reachfields.

Hat-trick hero Jake Embery inspired play-off occupants Bearsted’s 4-0 home win over Holmesdale.

After a goalless first period at Honey Lane, Ashton Mitford scored before Embery netted three times - his third from the penalty spot - for Kevin Stevens’ side.

Punjab United saw off Chislehurst Glebe 3-1 at home.

Malachi Morris put the away team into a 15th-minute lead, only for Roman Campbell to hit back before half-time.

But it was stoppage-time goals from substitute Hudson Scudder and Jack Hopkins, which
