Manchester United are back to winning ways on the pitch following a shaky start to the season.

Having defeated Burnley in the Premier League on Saturday night, Erik ten Hag and his team followed that result up with a stylish victory over Crystal Palace in the Carabao Cup on Tuesday night. Goals from Alejandro Garnacho, Casemiro and Anthony Martial did the damage as holders United made it through to the fourth round.

However, while things are now starting to go to plan on the field, there are still one or two major question marks behind the scenes, including what will happen to Jadon Sancho after a public spat with the manager. Here are the latest evening headlines on Thursday, September 27.

Roy Keane has urged Sancho to apologise to Ten Hag in order to revive his career at the club.

Sancho, 23, has been exiled from the first team squad in recent weeks after a public falling out with his manager. Prior to the international break, Ten Hag criticised the winger's training performances.

This led to Sancho making his feelings known on social media. In a now-deleted post, the 23-year-old claimed the comments were 'untrue' and declared himself to be a 'scapegoat' for poor performances at United since his arrival in Manchester from Borussia Dortmund three years ago. He has since been banished from team training.
