Jadon Sancho's gesture amid Manchester United first team exile

Jadon Sancho was spotted watching Manchester United's under-18s on Saturday lunchtime amid his ongoing exile from the first-team squad.

Adam Lawrence's young Reds were in action against Derby County in the under-18 Premier League, recording their seventh consecutive win in the competition with a second-half comeback. Having gone into the break 1-0 down, goals from Ethan Wheatley, Finley McAllister and Malachi Sharpe turned the tide.

Sancho was spotted at Carrington watching the game from the sidelines. He was stood with under-18s trio Sam Murray, Dermot Mee and Toby Collyer. It's not the first time he has taken in an Under-18 game this season while exiled from the senior squad.

Sancho has been removed from the first-team squad since his public fallout with Erik ten Hag during the international break. The 23-year-old was left out of the squad to face Arsenal, with the manager citing poor performances in training.

Sancho posted a response on his social media account after the 3-1 defeat, claiming he was being made a scapegoat. The post remained pinned to his social media profile for several days.

The original post read: "Please don't believe everything you read! I will not allow people saying things that is completely untrue, I have conducted myself in training very well this week. I believe there are other reasons for this matter that I won't go into, I've been a scapegoat for a long time which isn't fair!"
