Barcelona's 'stance' on signing Jadon Sancho and more Manchester United transfer rumours

Barcelona will not entertain a January approach for Jadon Sancho but may be in the market for the winger next summer, according to reports.

Sancho is expected to leave Manchester United on loan in January as his public falling out with Erik ten Hag continues. He has been expelled from first-team training for refusing to apologise after publicly accusing the club of lying about the reasons he was left out of the squad against Arsenal last month.

MEN Sport understands Sancho is open to a move away. If differences cannot be reconciled then a summer transfer looks to be the next step and he would not be short of takers.

Sport claims that Juventus lead the January loan race for the winger but Barcelona would be interested in a summer switch if terms are suitable. However, the club foresees a stumbling block over wages.

The report says Sancho would have to reduce his salary, which is thought to be north of £300,000, in order to move to the Nou Camp. In the event this cannot be overcome, they may wish to seek a season-long loan although United would want to search for a sale given his high wages.

Sancho’s representatives are thought to have already reached out to a number of clubs to seek out his next move with the attacker refusing to budge from his not-sorry stance.

Meanwhile, The Mirror claims West Ham will go back in for Harry Maguire after seeing a £20million bid rejected in the summer. The centre-back indicated this week that he may have to seek football elsewhere if his game time at Old Trafford continues to be limited.
