Manchester United transfer news LIVE Raphael Varane injury latest as Juventus enter Jadon Sancho race

Manchester United can go into the International break with some optimism after beating Brentford 2-1 at Old Trafford on Saturday.

Raphael Varane was absent for the game with a 'minor issue', only worsening United's injury crisis. Ten Hag admitted the defender would have been available a couple of days later so it is hoped he can return in plenty of time for the trip to Sheffield United.

The fallout with Jadon Sancho remains an ongoing issue at United and the Manchester Evening News understands that he could leave in January, should he remain out in the cold. A return to Borussia Dortmund has been tipped but recent reports have suggested Juventus could make an approach.
