Motorists are being warned to expect disruption on major roads near Manchester city centre this morning. Police are responding to an incident at Regent Road, Salford.

Greater Manchester Police says the road is shut between Ordsall Lane and Trinity Way. Google Maps data shows a large closure, affecting roads close to the Mancunian Way.

Egerton Street is also closed eastbound, according to Inrix. GMP Traffic posted on X: "Road Closures following a police incident - Regent Road Manchester.
