LIVE updates: Child hit by car as police tape off main road with paramedics on scene

A road in Oldham is closed following a serious crash.

Officers taped off Featherstall Road South at around 4.15pm this afternoon (Sunday). The closure is outside the Eastern Pavilion wedding venue.

Paramedics are also in attendance, with a police cordon in place across both lanes of the road. A small crowd of people was seen outside the wedding venue after the closure.

The Manchester Evening News understands a child was hit by a vehicle outside the wedding venue. The child's condition is currently unknown.

The closure is not currently causing any delays in the area.

The Manchester Evening News understands that a child was hit by a vehicle outside the wedding venue. The injuries suffered by the child are not thought to be life-threateneing or life-changing and no arrests have been made in relation to the incident.
