Live updates as police called to River Taff incident near Cardiff city centre
Emergency services are responding to an ongoing incident on the River Taff in Cardiff as people are asked to avoid the area. South Wales Police confirmed they are in attendance at the Taff embankment near the city centre.

South Wales Fire and Rescue Service as well as the Welsh Ambulance Service have been asked to comment. Police say Taff Embankment is to be closed for some time.
On social media they said: "We are at the scene of an incident on the Taff Embankment Cardiff The road is currently closed in both directions on the Taff Embankment between Coedcae Street exit and Aber Street Exit It is expected to remain closed for some time."
